A magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck Flores on August 15, followed by more than 2,100 aftershocks. Over 100 people died, 1,600 were injured, 180,000 people are displaced and over 23,000 homes are severely damaged and not habitable, leaving remote communities without safe shelter, clean water or cooking facilities. Bumi Sehat is working with local community partners to deliver tarps, tents, water, cooking pots and emergency food packages to families who have received little or no aid.
